What if you are not as alone as you think you are?
What if the world — the forest, the hawk, the shaft of light through the trees — has been paying attention to you all along, quietly waiting for you to pay attention back?
🌿 Ordinary Magic: Creativity, Nature, & Soul Care ✨
A 3-Night Retreat at the Well of Mercy Retreat Center · March 30–April 2, 2027
"You are not who you think you are. You are not left here alone on this planet to toil and figure everything out on your own. You are surrounded by a kind, invisible, yet vital life-force, who's got your back, gently pushing and pulling you toward your true center, your deepest identity. And once you become aware of that, everything becomes sacred. In some spiritual circles, this is known as ordinary magic."
— Heidi Gessner, Pockets of Grace: Lessons from Darkness, Lessons from Light
Poet Mary Oliver reminds us that "the world offers itself to your imagination."
Ordinary Magic is where that invitation becomes lived experience.
What Awaits You
Over three nights at the Well of Mercy Retreat Center in Hamptonville, North Carolina — 110 acres of forest, stream, and sacred silence — we will slow down together.
We will go deep into the page and into the more-than-human world. We will sit in soul-nourishing conversation and quiet contemplation. And we will practice, together, what it feels like to be held by something larger than ourselves.
Whether you come carrying grief, a longing for renewal and aliveness, a creative life that has gone quiet, or simply a need to slow down — there is a place for you in this circle.
This retreat is for women who want their inner and outer lives to be the same life.
The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper. — W.B. Yeats
